You’ve got a mission. We want to hear about it.

This holiday season, The Story Exchange is curating a special list of “gifts with a mission” made by women business owners in our community.

What do we mean by that? We’re looking for products that aren’t just cool, quirky, functional, unique and original (the usual stuff) — we also want to hear how the purchase of the product supports a cause, helps save the earth or raises awareness of an important issue.

From now until Nov. 15, tell us about ONE product you sell that would make a fabulous gift for a special person this upcoming holiday. Tell us, in 250 words or less, the reason you decided to create the item; the type of person it’s suitable for; and what special mission your company or the product serves. The item must be priced at $50 or less.

Right after Thanksgiving, on Dec. 2, we’ll start rolling out our “Gifts With a Mission” guide on our site. A team of judges at The Story Exchange will decide which items to include in our gift guide, based on the gift idea’s uniqueness and value, as well as the product’s or company’s mission. If your item is selected, we’ll feature it on our site and share it with our followers and media partners.
