Name: Deborah Allison

Business: Deborah Allison, Clean Diet Health Coach, diet and health coach

Industry: Coaching & Consulting, Health & Beauty

Location: Ithica, New York, U.S.

Reason for starting: I started my holistic practice because I wanted a more heart-centered business to call my own, and after 20 years, real estate just wasn’t doing it for me anymore! I have always been passionate about assisting my own body in finding out exactly what it needs to thrive, and also helping others learn what is perfect for them to eat to be healthy, so health coaching was a perfect fit.

How do you define success? It has been hard to break into a field that isn’t mainstream yet. Someday there will be a health coach in every medical doctors office! Until then, I rely on my website for individuals looking to make vast improvements in their diet and lifestyle, and need a coach and accountability partner like myself to guide them. It has been working beautifully. I have been blessed with wonderful clients! Success for me is helping to turn a life around… where there was once despair, now there is vitality without fatigue, a renewed sense of health, weight-loss if needed, and no medications. Every client is a success story, and every day in this capacity as a coach is rewarding and successful!

Biggest Success: My biggest success has come from adding Past Life Regression Therapy to my toolbox of healing modalities. This therapy (without hypnosis) deals with releasing trauma from the body, and is amazingly transformative. One client wrote: “Since our past life regression session, I am calmer, and more focused. I am sleeping better, at peace, especially in my heart! Almost total elimination of pain from Achilles tendon on right foot. Some tangible results I’ve noticed are that my stress level has dropped incredibly, and I am able to process challenges with more clarity. My anxiety level about the future and job changes has virtually disappeared! It is easier for me to look at the ‘big picture’ and do so without panic! Deborah was calm and welcoming, trustworthy (and I’m not one to trust easily), and reassuring. Deborah has a beautiful voice – easy to listen to.” -Elizabeth Russell, Massage Therapist, Corning, NY

I am about to give up my real estate profession for good on Dec 1, 2014. I have been entertaining this idea for a year, and it is a little unsettling to think that my health coaching career isn’t exactly making enough money right now to replace it, however, I feel I can’t give 100% to my coaching clients while still trying to do both. I trust my heart, and in the message of the universe, that the timing is perfect. It will all work out.

What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it? My top challenge has been to get awareness out to the public regarding healthy, clean eating with its benefits, and the concept of releasing trauma from the body through just one regression session with me. I have used blogging, newsletters, Facebook, free classes and public education through workshops at Cornell Cooperative Extension, Greenstar Natural Food Cooperative, and self-sponsered Meetup groups. I am in the process of doing more radio ads, and creating three video’s for my website, all with the intent of offering free material to those that are searching for a more holistic approach to life.

My goals are to expand into a more community based approach to holistic health care with other practitioners in a larger setting, covering more approaches than I can personally offer, ie: chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, colonic hydrotherapy, reflexology, spiritual coaching, etc.

Who is your most important role model? My most important role model has been the many holistic medical doctors that speak out and educate around the dangers of the Standard Americal Diet, and alternative ways of eating that are both inspiring and educational. Role models like Deepak Chopra, Mark Hyman, Morris Netherton, Christiane Northrup, Jack Soltanoff, Peter D’Adamo, T. Colin Campbell, John Douillard, and so many more!
