Reason for starting
I started in the entertainment industry in 1990 and was 100% committed to my craft, however I had no idea how to generate work. I didn’t understand the “business side of the business.” Once I learned that the business skills I’d learned in college and sales training from supplemental income jobs translated to entertainment, my whole career changed for the better. I felt so empowered that I was compelled to share these tools with others who wanted more work, better work, or different work in the entertainment industry.
How do you define success?
I define success for my company as my ability to work from anywhere, have a profitable income, and have the time to focus on a healthy lifestyle, family, friends, fun, creativity, and love.
Biggest Success
My biggest success was being the host and head judge of the reality show Lights, Camera, Action! where I was able to share my coaching expertise, on a level that helped the participants and will help everyone who watches it. While, I can list at least 20 other big successes, I chose this one because it was fun, first and foremost, and it married my two passions, coaching and working on camera in television.
What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
My top challenge has been that in most cases the people who need my help the most can’t afford my services. I’ve addressed it by creating an inexpensive online continuity program where they have access to me and a supportive community.
Who is your most important role model?
The women business owners in my female entrepreneur group who have 6 and 7 figure businesses while living a life they love.
