Reason for starting
I was working at a department store when I noticed a constant problem. Women have a hard time finding stylish skirts that fit! I wanted to solve this problem by giving women the chance to design their own skirt and submit their unique body measurements for their design. You design your skirt, we make it to fit your measurements.
Biggest Success
Customer feedback! When someone says to me that their No.2 Skirt is the most perfect fitting skirt they have ever put on their body, that makes me very happy!
What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
Every skirt order is different, this presents challenges that average apparel companies don’t experience in pattern-making and manufacturing. We know we are unique – we were determined to master this challenge. Had we not been faced with this challenge we would not have had the chance to think inventively and conquer it in such a special way.
Who is your most important role model?
Women who experience dressing room disappointment too often. Women who have unique style statements and can never find more than basics. The designer within all of us.
