Reason for starting
As a single parent I raised 5 teenagers successfully and wanted to assist others in similar situations to avoid making financial mistakes or problems. I believe that assisting people can be very satisfying and by speaking with other single mothers just the overwhelming responsibility of having teenagers while single could be very stressful.
Biggest Success
Having been in business 26 years and having clients still with me for all those years and now working with the children of those clients and even the grandchildren seems very important to me. We have saved numerous clients from making financial mistakes and assisted many in reaching their dreams which they never thought was possible.
What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
Business continuation when I am no longer available has been a concern until this year. I now have what I call my dream team with all credentials covered and possibly the next two generations of advisors I have trained. I feel the business will successfully continue and the committment to clients will continue as well. We educate and create.
Who is your most important role model?
My mother was a hard worker (and my dad as well). She helped me believe I could do anything. She worked until her eyesight gave way to Macular with a positive attitude and continued to be helpful to others all her life. Even when she died at 97 she was worried about how the family and friends would accomplish what she used to do for them.
