Reason for starting
After climbing the corporate ladder I discovered I didn’t like working in a large corporation. So I quit and was going to attend a course on “How to start your own business”, but they asked me to teach it instead!

Success is doing what you love, helping people, giving your best and having a good life.

Over 5 years I helped over 500 new business owners with 80% self supporting in one year.
What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
I started the One Stop Business Shop in Melbourne to provide business training, consulting and a book shop. Unfortunately the accountants I chose to work with me didn’t pay their rent and I had to learn how to close shop and move on. In the process I was helped by an engineer who became my new partner (and husband!) in a successful software development business called Executive Information Services.
Who is your most important role model?
My Mother started a Printing business with a partner after her kids left home. She added a typesetting business and then I helped her start a uniform sewing business on the side. It wasn’t until years later that we realized she was running three businesses at the same time.
