Name: Anne Pham

Business: I.D. Me Labels, personalized water-proof name labels for children’s and adults’ personal items.

Industry: Children’s Goods & ServicesE-Commerce

Location: Allenwood, New Jersey, U.S.

Reason for starting: After my daughter Sophia started daycare in 2008, I quickly noticed that her bibs, pacifiers, and bottles were easily getting lost or misplaced. It was obvious her items were not returning home and I was spending good money on her baby items, only to go missing. I realized that there had to be a solution to this annoying issue! So in 2009 I started I.D. Me Labels in my basement with a lot of ideas and determination!

How do you define success? Success for me is raising my beautiful family while enjoying the freedom to be creative, independent, and accomplished in business. There is something so exhilarating when maintaining such a harmony because inspiration, drive, constant goal setting, validation, and perseverance are so necessary for both.

Biggest Success: Starting a highly competitive business from the ground up while managing to raise two young toddlers. Since 2009, I.D. Me has printed and shipped over 1,000,000 labels and currently ships worldwide to Europe, Asia, Australia, and Canada!

What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it? In business, my top challenge is keeping up with the fast-paced changes of marketing on the internet, social media, and fighting to stay ahead of a very competitive field.

Who is your most important role model? Without hesitation, my mother is my most important role model. With four babies in tow, she escaped Viet-Nam in 1980. As a non-English-speaking, poor immigrant, she raised four children while working full time. She is unbelievably brave, and a true survivor in every senses. From early on, she has instilled in her children the importance of determination, honesty, nurture, hard work, confidence and education can lead to success in life and business.
