Arelis Arellano is an intern for The Story Exchange. She will graduate from The Young Women’s Leadership School of East Harlem in June of 2016, and attend St. Lawrence University in the fall. The child of parents who moved to the United States from Mexico seeking opportunity, Arellano is passionate about the issues that affect immigrants. Her hobbies include playing squash, reading books, and walking her dog.
