"Rising infertility rates, hormonal disruption and the pressures of modern life mean more women are seeking meaningful ways to support their reproductive health before challenges arise," says Zsofia Jamieson. She's the co-founder of The Fertility Class, and alongside fellow founder Marta Han, she's offering movement courses in New York City and Los Angeles that offer clients "fertility-focused movement methods." Attendees who are hoping to conceive report more regular menstrual cycles, fewer PMS pains and other benefits thanks to heightened pelvic circulation and more derived from the duo's classes. How is your business different from others in your industry? Ours is a movement-based platform designed specifically to enhance reproductive health. Unlike generic cycle-synced programs, our exercises (as well as our educational and community offerings) actively support hormonal balance, pelvic circulation and cycle strength, giving women practical tools to feel empowered to optimize their fertility. Tell us about your biggest success so far. One member's story stands out. A wonderful woman had been trying to conceive for three years. She'd gone through five rounds of fertility treatments and spent over $100,000. She felt hopeless and didn’t believe she could ever get pregnant naturally. After committing to our exercises and following our lifestyle guidance consistently, she became pregnant within a couple of months. Stories like hers are what make our work so meaningful. It’s not just about the exercises; it’s about helping women feel empowered, supported and confident in their bodies. Seeing someone regain hope, reconnect with their body, and experience a pregnancy on their own terms is the kind of impact that defines us. What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it? Building a business that didn’t exist before. There were no clear examples to get inspired by, no blueprint for a fertility-focused movement platform. We’ve had to figure it out as we go, learning and adapting along the way. Luckily, we have incredible synergy as business partners, and together we’ve combined expertise, creativity and drive to shape our company's vision, solve problems, and create a platform that genuinely meets women’s needs. Have you experienced any significant personal situations that have affected your business decisions? Being mothers ourselves deeply shapes the way we build our business. We are both raising teenage boys, and that season of life has made us very intentional about creating a company that allows us to be ambitious, creative founders while also being present, engaged mothers. We have made conscious decisions to grow in a sustainable way, to protect our time and energy, and to build systems that support flexibility and balance. That perspective carries into how we serve our community as well. We understand firsthand the realities of busy, full lives, and we design The Fertility Class to fit into them, rather than compete with them. What is your biggest tip for other startup entrepreneurs? Don’t wait for the "perfect" moment. Put your idea out into the world, get feedback, and keep refining it as you go. Momentum comes from action, not perfection. Listen to your community, stay true to your vision, and don’t be afraid to experiment. The learning you gain along the way is just as valuable as any early successes. How do you find inspiration on your darkest days? We remind ourselves why we started: Because what we’re building has the potential to change lives. Even when it feels hard, we focus on the women - both the ones we’ve already helped, and the countless others who still need this kind of support. That vision keeps us pushing, experimenting and moving forward, knowing that every step brings us closer to making even more of a real impact. What is your go-to song to get motivated on tough days? It’s always changing. We always pick something we can move and dance to, something that lifts us up and reminds us to feel alive, energized and ready to tackle whatever the day brings. Music is our reset button, and a little reminder to enjoy the process, even when it’s tough. Who is your most important role model? The women we admire most are the ones who keep going even when people repeatedly doubt them. Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, is a perfect example. She started in her basement, didn’t listen to the naysayers, found creative ways to market her product, and empowered women along the way. When her company was acquired, she made sure to reward the people who helped her build it.
