Reason for starting? People often ask how on earth I came up with the idea of a hands-free coat carrying accessory? Last December, while on a shopping trip to New York City with my family, I reached my limit and had enough of trying to balance a heavy winter wool coat every time I went into a store. I’m sure many people can relate to not being able to manage a purse, shopping bags, and a coffee at the same time. My husband faces similar issues at the airport as he travels a lot with work. I knew there had to be a solution and empowered with my fashion training, I set to work developing a result people would take to immediately. The first working prototype of The Jasling consisted of some rope, a snap hook, and a few metal rings I picked up in a small hardware store.

How do you define success? My definition of success is creating financial freedom while doing something that I am passionate about. Empowering women to follow their dreams is very important to me. Often times women dedicate their lives to others which is wonderful as long as they leave room to take care of themselves. Balancing business and family can be tricky but absolutely worth it!
Biggest success: My biggest success to date is taking an idea and turning into an amazing product!
What is your top challenge and how you have addressed it? My top challenge was securing a manufacturer in the US. I spoke with and visited many factories before finding the right factory to partner with.

Who is your most important role model? My most important role model is my best self, the person I wake up every morning and hope to be.
