Indra Nooyi’s ferocity and incredible upward progress in the business world are inspiring us at The Story Exchange this week.

Nooyi was born in India, and moved to America after receiving her bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry, and mathematics and her post-graduate diploma in management while in her home country. She was then admitted to the Yale School of Management in 1978, where she earned her master’s degree in public and private management. Currently, Nooyi is chairperson and CEO of PepsiCo, after rising up in the ranks of other businesses like Motorola and ABB. She’s also one of just 24 women running companies on the Fortune 500 list.

Her quote about boundaries — seen above — encourages us as women to push ourselves to new levels in the business world, and to remember that all barriers can be broken.
