Reason for starting
I decided to start Studio 60 Media after I saw small businesses and organizations struggling with their digital presence. As a former journalist with experience in online media, I knew I could use my skills to help them.

How do you define success?
I define success as being able to balance work and family, being able to use my business to hire those experienced editors and journalists who believe in creating a steller user experience, and being able to give back to my community. My parents were entrepreneurs who started a successful drycleaning business in the 1950s. They associated with a lot of other small business owners, who like them, wanted to serve their community, raise their familys and give back. That’s my goal too.

Biggest Success
Landing accounts with two national nonprofits has been a major win for us. It’s given us the confidence to pursue even larger challenges.

What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
Our biggest challenge is keeping our fees affordable for small businesses that may not have large budgets. We customize our services to fit any budget, and offer a package for small businesses or organizations to get their digital presence establised.

Who is your most important role model?
My most important role model is Kelly Cutrone. She is a single mom like me running a creative business and has managed to expertly manage her young staff and keep her personal life on track. I love her motto, “If you have to cry, go outside.”
