Reason for starting
I have always wanted to have my own shop, originally I wanted a children’s book store however due to websites like Amazon I knew that wasn’t a feasible business. So I turned to my next favorite thing all things vintage. I love giving something old and beautifully made a new lease on life, instead of sitting on a rack or in closet just collecting dust. Once I was out of the military I wanted an income of my own that didn’t take me away from my children and after much trail and error I finally opened a shop on Etsy.com.

Happy customers equal success.
What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
Marketing of my shop has been my biggest challenge, with the help of some wonderful women who have shops they have given me tools and ideas to get my shop name out there. One of those is being on several different social media sites, so I went from just having a business page on Facebook to having a Pinterest and Twitter accounts as well.
Who is your most important role model?
Any woman who owns a successful business and is willing to help others.
