How do you define success? Success is the courage to keep going despite failure and setbacks.

Biggest Success: My biggest success to-date is to be approaching my 7th year in business. My first business, a real estate school, generated revenue, but it only lasted 2 years before I decide that it wasn’t the right business for me. So to be doing a business, that I love and enjoy and I am passionate about–that also gives me great flexibility–is by far my biggest success.

What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it? My top challenge is in growing and taking the business to the next level. To address it I have worked with coaches and consultants and have gotten out more to network. It’s important to keep in touch with other business women who share a common desire and can provide support and encouragement to keep going.

Who is your most important role model? My grandmother, who has passed on, always was and probably will always be my role model for her tremendous strength and generosity. In the business world, Sara Blakely and Tory Burch are women that I greatly admire whose stories I find incredibly inspiring.
