Reason for starting
I started Taking Tea InStyle, LLC because I love to entertain and I enjoy the tea experience which is about relaxation, unwinding and getting together with friends and family. Our goal is to bring civility and humanity back. People are spending less quality time together face to face as we did years ago. The majority of us are communicating with each other online. Taking Tea InStyle brings families and friends together to celebrate each other. We saw the need for social etiquette and dining skills for children. Due to the economy, parents are working longer hours or have more than one job and are therefore not in the home spending time with their families. Technology has also taken over the world so more people are using electronic gadgets to communicate with each other. Our company entertains, educates and sells you the tea experience. We want our clients to feel like royalty so we pamper them.

How do you define success?
Success to me is learning from your mistakes and failures and using those experiences to improve and grow your business to the next level.

Biggest Success
Biggest success was the re-branding of my company. I felt that after I re-branded the company which included creating a new logo, website, new business cards, marketing materials and our tea product line was the best thing I did for branding my company.

What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
My top challenge has been to delegate tasks to others. As an Entrepreneur you want everything to be done perfectly and you thing no one else can do it like you can, no one will work as hard as you, so you continue to do everything yourself. There comes a time that you start to burn out and that forces you to reconize that you need help and you can’t do it all alone. You have to start looking carefully for someone you trust who believes in you and your company. You slowly delegate tasks. Finding great people to work with you is part of this challenge. I have addressed it by hiring a virtual marketing admin, who also loves our philosophy. She has been a blessing to Taking Tea InStyle.

Who is your most important role model?
Other Entrepreneurs are my role model. Especially women. Every positive, hard-working, entrepreneurs that I meet gives me the motivation I need to keep pressing on.
