Reason for starting
I started Bed Rest Concierge after spending 26 weeks on bed rest during pregnancy. It became my passion and I knew as soon as I could do something I would. I gave birth to my daughter in March 2011 and in June 2011 my company was in business. I needed to make a difference for Resting Mommies and their families.
Biggest Success
Entering my 2nd year in business I have been extremely fortunate #1 to still be in business and also be thriving and expanding at a tremendous rate. Being compared to my peers that I look up to, and honored by my absolute business idol and mentor Bethenny Frankel. I knew I was successful, when she honored me as an Inspiring Entrepreneur.
What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
Staying focused on my core client base. I’m pulled in lots of different directions, and I have resisted the temptation to become an expert in everything. A good friend of mine told me to stay narrow and grow deep. It’s better to be an expert in one area, than to know a lot about a whole bunch. I keep my blinders on and stay in my lane.
Who is your most important role model?
All successful self made women, Sara Blakely, Rosie Pope and Bethenny Frankel. Bethenny was an invisible inspiration for me to change the direction of my life. Watching her achieve success on her own terms gave me the courage to step out and become an Entrepreneur. In July 2012 when I was able to meet and thank Bethenny I lived a dream.
