Just before five players formally filed suit this week, Mitchell penned a detailed account of the unfairness plaguing women in the sport, despite delivering huge wins on the field and profits to the league’s owners. "Women’s soccer is dealing not so much with a glass ceiling as it is a glass labyrinth," he writes.
