Yet it wasn't until her work, "Blue Mitosis," was chosen for the cover of a major scientific journal that she decided to make her art wearable. She says, "For an artist, mitosis is an irresistible concept that encompasses so many ideas -- change, growth and symmetry -- at the very root of what it means to be alive."
