How do you define success? Success to me is a happy client. Success is the respect of your colleagues in the field of law you practice. Success is working at a profession you love and being able to provide comfortable support for your family.

Biggest Success: The biggest success in my line of work is winning a case for a client where everything is initially stacked against him or her. You keep trying and refuse to give up.

What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it? Time management is a lawyer’s top challenge. I address it by carefully planning my day and prioritizing.

Who is your most important role model? My mother is my most important role model. She started her own business out of our home when I was only two years old. That business grew with an office outside the home where my father quit his job to work alongside my mother. This was done in the 1960’s when many women did not own businesses. As a result of my mother’s efforts, our entire family was supported and my brother and I received college and graduate degrees. We were the first in the family to attend college.
