Name: Yanez Perez
Business: Instead Image Consulting, image consulting company that creates an online and offline presence with personal style
Industry: Coaching & Consulting
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.
Reason for starting: Instead Image Consulting is more than a company, it is a reflection of a milestone in my life. In 2012 I left an abusive relationship and started my life all over again. I was in a position where I had experience with national television exposure as well as modeling and working as a muse for an international fashion designer. Yet my personal life was in shambles. I realized that I needed to take some time to figure out why I was at the highest of highs professionally while feeling the lowest of lows personally. I began Instead Image Consulting because it was a way to incorporate everything I had learned. Instead assists and cultivates an individual by encouraging them to be successful. We assist with online branding, personal shopping and closet edits. We take an individual and build their confidence from the ground up, ensuring a positive outlook on their future. We want our customers to look and feel good about whatever it is that they do.
How do you define success? Success is waking up in the morning and knowing that I am living my dreams, feeling content with who I am and all that I have done. Success means stability in every aspect of your life. Success is faith and hope for the future. I want Instead to be the “go to” company for professionals and people who want to take their image and brand to the next level.
Biggest Success: Instead Image Consulting has a contract with international NARS Cosmetics. We have teamed together to allow clients to experience a professional make up session. The client is able to sit with a professional make up artist for only $150. There are three locations in NYC to choose from and along with this session the client receives a $100 makeup gift card and a free consultation with Instead.
What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it? The top challenge for the company has been more of a personal challenge. I sometimes feel the need to reflect on my goals and be sure that I am secure with my decisions.
Who is your most important role model? Jesus Christ
