Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlile debuted their duet, “Beautiful Noise.”

One good thing came out of this week: a new duet from superstar singers Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlile.

The Grammy Award-winning songbirds collaborated on “A Beautiful Noise” ahead of the presidential election, and the song premiered on CBS’s voting special the weekend before Election Day.

There are other female powerhouses behind the song besides Keys and Carlile — the duo teamed up with six songwriters, all of whom are women.

In the video of the premiere, each musician plays at separate pianos, Keys in a black pantsuit and Carlile in a white one. Each one alternates verses about standing up for marginalized communities, according to website Live for Live Music.

To Keys, making a “beautiful noise” means voting.

“This song has that special energy that we really need to feel right now,” Keys said, according to the live music website.

“Everyone has the power to make a beautiful noise and to lift others up with their voice. And now more than ever, we need to let those voices be heard by voting.”

Carlile added, “The evolution of ‘A Beautiful Noise’ represents a group of incredible women from all different walks of life coming together with a universal message of hope and empowerment.”
