Reason for starting
We started Insights & More in 2008 so that we could provide high quality knowledge management and marketing consultancy on our own terms. Corporate life takes a heavy toll on independence, freedom, family life and most of creativity. We wanted to prove to ourselves that its possible to achieve the highest quality without sacrificing any of these. Mostly, we wanted to do what we loved on our own terms.
How do you define success?
Success means different things for different people. For me its economic independence secured through doing something I like and that adds value to the client, on my own terms. Success should allow me to explore my creativity and clearly be of value to the world at large and the commercial context in which we exist.
Our projects have been well received by our clients. Their feeedback has surpassed our own expectations and surprised us. Everytime we accomplish a project done well, we are hugely encouraged.
What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
Our top challenge is to maintain the energy of the organisation and keep the costs manageable. Its primarily a two member team with highly qualified professionals to support us. At a commercial level, we find it a challenge to make ends meet. We hope to address it by changing our operational structure in the coming years.
Who is your most important role model?
Any entreprising woman would be our model. Any woman who starts up on her own, takes her own risks and makes something out of her little entreprise would be our inspiration. In that respect, I find women who come from economically backward stratas to be more inspiring that those who are well endowed.
