On today’s Lunar New Year, we’re drawing our inspiration  from Chinese-American actress and activist Lucy Liu.

Liu is well known for her roles as a “tough girl” in Kill Bill, Charlie’s Angels, and many more Hollywood movies. She has been outspoken about the racial challenges she and other actors face in the industry.

She directed Half the Sky and Redlight, both documentaries focusing on the challenges facing women and girls worldwide.
