Name: Neha Yaduvanshi

Business: Vastada Consulting

Location: Gurgaon, India

Industry: Professional Services

Reason for starting? After working with the top management in the corporate world for 7 years, I realized that companies are making strategies focused on short-term profit and immediate success. Companies fail to recognize their true potential and capability to play a bigger role in society. I believe organizations are a very important part of our world and have a bigger role to play in the life of human beings by delivering healthy products and quality services, as well as building a happy and protected environment for internal and external stakeholders. It is with this belief and determination to transform the way companies make their strategies that I started my company, Vastada Consulting.

How do you define success? Each time we create value for our clients is our moment of success. Vastada Consulting works on the core values of sustainability, co-existence and trust. As the founder of Vastada Consulting, I help clients in following areas: planning sustainable strategies for clients to build, sustain and grow their business in India through research and fact-based consultation; preparing organizations for challenges and opportunities related to the future of business; significantly improving and refining strategic visibility focused on value creation and co-existence.

Biggest success:  There are very few consulting firms helping clients in building a sustainable business. I consider this our biggest success.

What is your top challenge and how you have addressed it? Being young and in consulting, often times people say to me: “You are very young, how are you going to help us grow our business?” Then I come up with sustainable and innovative solutions that surprise them, and they end up referring us to other companies. To be an entrepreneur you must focus your energy on the right things and right people. Make genuine connections in your personal and professional life both. Having the right people and a positive environment around you helps you to move forward and reach new heights.  I’ve learned that if you ask for help, you will get it. Never be afraid in reaching out to people to learn new concepts and discuss new ideas.

Who is your most important role model? Richard Branson and Nelson Mandela. I have learned the most important business lessons from Richard Branson and most important life lessons from Nelson Mandela. Richard Branson teaches you to be confident, courageous and helps you to follow your instincts. I love his quotes and teaching for employee management. The best lesson is to become the face of your brand. The Invictus movie based on the life of Nelson Mandela is my favorite movie. His vision and the way he inspired people is amazing. His courage inspires me everyday, especially on the tough days.
