Industry: Other — Event Planning and Management
Location: Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, U.S.
Reason for starting: After experiencing several losses in my life and being in a job that I liked but didn’t love, I realized that I needed to re-group. Although the job allowed me to grow professionally, it didn’t allow my creativity to flourish. It was then that I knew that I needed to make a change. Shortly after coming to that realization, the opportunity with Plan Ahead Events came across my desk. I have always enjoyed all aspects of event planning and coordinating and immediately felt that this was for me.

How do you define success? To me success is knowing that at the end of the day you have made a difference as well as being happy and pleased in all that you do, both professionally and personally.
Biggest Success: My biggest success is having been able to provide my children with a positive, supportive and loving environment with great core values and prepared them with all the tools necessary to succeed.

What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it? My biggest challenge has been having to do sales, marketing, social media, planning, coordinating, and all the other tasks associated with owning your own business by myself. I recently just brought my sister on board which should help alleviate some of the pressure off my shoulders.
Who is your most important role model? I have many role models; however, I must say that my parents are my biggest role models. They instilled great values, faith and work ethics in me that have helped me throughout my life. I attribute my successes in all aspects in having stayed true to those core values.
