Helen Adams is passionate about helping people. After qualifying as a coach a number of years ago, she reached a point of stagnation in her business and personal mindset and knew something needed to change. As she worked through limiting childhood beliefs and financial difficulties, she had her “aha moment” and realized what her next step was – starting The Female Business Revolution. Today the United Kingdom-based entrepreneur is working with female entrepreneurs who are looking to overcome their mindset blocks surrounding money so they can tap into deeper financial gains.

What was your reason for starting your business?
From a very young age I always had two big dreams: standing on stage and speaking to a huge audience, and working with people to help them move forward. After spending many years in education, I was able to combine these two passions when I qualified as a coach. I began working through limiting beliefs from my childhood recently, which set off a sequence of “feast and famine” actions in my business. It was only when I started to really trust my intuition that it all changed. I then became aware that my mission is to empower one million women to reach financial freedom by tapping into the power of their intuition, and started the Female Business Revolution in April of last year.
How do you define success?
Success to me is all about freedom. Reaching a point where I am financially free so that I can live life on my own terms is success. Doing what I want, where, when and with whom I want is success. It’s also a success for me when I see a client getting those mindset breakthroughs and starting the transformation to financial freedom….it really gives me a buzz!
Tell us about your biggest success to date.
My biggest success to date was working with a lady called Shelley who took part in my eight week Intuitive Income Programme. Generating money intuitively was something completely foreign to her before she joined, but she went all in and by the end of the programme she had manifested £5,000.

What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it?
Due to conditioning in my early years and through most of my life, I took on the belief that as a woman I had less opportunities than men in terms of what I could do for a career and how much money I could make. Shortly after the time I discovered my mission, I decided to consciously re-examine my beliefs. After doing some journalling I was able to realize that these beliefs were not my true beliefs and I let them go. I also refuse to let my age define me and live the way I want to live. I think as I have matured I have become more comfortable with myself, stronger and more independent.
Have you experienced any significant personal situations that have affected your business decisions?
When I was struggling with financial difficulties, I was unable to invest in the next steps my business needed to move forward. After feeling stuck, I realized that I would have to find a way of generating the money to take my next step. It required a massive amount of trust and belief, and soon after that I was able to find the money to invest in a coach and since then I have never looked back.

What is your biggest tip for other startup entrepreneurs?
Trust your intuition: it’s your best friend in life and in business. Even if you’re the only one who believes it, stick with what it’s telling you and keep focused.
How do you find inspiration on your darkest days?
I keep visualizing that big picture – those million women being empowered to financial freedom. I remind myself that if I don’t get into my most productive frame of mind and get stuff done, a woman out there somewhere will be denied a chance that day to transform her future.
Who is your most important role model?
Oprah. She helped us break down the barriers and showed us what we could achieve as women.
